Accelerated Campaign Builds

Burn Media Co. is a franchise-focused digital marketing agency that specializes in full-funnel strategy, local marketing and done-for-you advertising for multi-location brands. Founded by Burn Boot Camp’s co-founders, Burn Media Co. operates as its sister company, supporting the fitness studios’ marketing needs while serving other franchise systems.

With nearly 200 Burn Boot Camp locations each needing custom Meta ads, campaign setup was time intensive for Burn Media Co.'s small but mighty team:

  • Every campaign's assets, budgeting, audiences and QA processes were built by hand.
  • Their team also tracked down each location's unique photos and videos, combing through individual organic social pages and coordinating with franchisees to collect content in time for launch.
  • They then used these unique images and user-generated contents in creative for each Burn Boot Camp location’s ads.

After collecting all the necessary creative assets, building campaigns with the aforementioned assets took at least one hour per campaign each month. That timeline doubled during national promotions. Ultimately, this demanding process had their team spending more time placing and localizing ads, instead of developing custom marketing strategies for each unique location.

With the desire to deliver more to their clients, and the gumption to invest in cutting edge technology, Burn Media Co. turned to Flamel's Meta Ads Playbooks, which builds one ad playbook and auto-localizes it for every market, to automate the campaign build process. Their partnership with Flamel not only resulted in 4X faster automated campaign builds, but a complete structural overhaul and profound partnership, trading hours spent on manual setup for deeper strategic work for their clients.

Caption reads: "Burn Boot Camp's Meta Ad Playbooks: Built once by the Burn Media Co. team and ready for individual locations to opt into and launch with a single click."
"There's something really neat about finding a partner that has a shared mission of helping people scale their businesses," said Mere Byrd, VP of Media at Burn Media Co.. "Both teams want to help our clients grow. I want to work with Flamel because they want to do that too."

The Transformation: Evolved Operations, Elevated Offerings

Before partnering with Flamel, building Meta campaigns took at least an hour to build, location-by-location. That same process now takes Burn Media Co.'s digital team 15 minutes. Across 200 Burn Boot Camp locations, as well as the agency’s other clients like Bunny Hive and DivaDance, those time savings compounded quickly.

Since April, for Burn Boot Camp, the Burn Media Co. team used Flamel to:

  • Drive ~29M impressions and 8,600+ conversions
  • Launch 578 campaigns and 2,636 unique ads
  • All while saving 433 total hours

They scaled their deliverables without adding headcount and speed didn't come at the cost of quality. Playbooks improved consistency across locations, with Flamel's BrandCheck AI catching human errors while maintaining Burn Media Co.'s high standards. Quality held steady even as build time decreased dramatically.

Three localized Burn Boot Camp Meta ad examples generated through Flamel's playbooks — Burn Boot Camp Hickory, NC shows a storefront photo with a "FREE Trial" offer; Burn Boot Camp East Mesa, AZ shows a gym-interior carousel ad with "FREE TRIAL, 45-Min Workouts"; Burn Boot Camp Holly Springs shows a "7 Days Free" branded ad with two women working out. Each ad is customized per location while sharing the same underlying campaign and offer.

The Payoff: Hours Reclaimed, Services Reimagined

The hours the agency team saved were reinvested into the kind of high-value strategic work only experienced marketers can deliver.

From one strategy to 200. Instead of running a single blanket approach across every location, Burn Media Co. now builds custom marketing plans by-location. For example, if one unit is struggling with membership growth, their team now has time to develop a strategy to combat its own unique challenges.

New services, more clients. With execution largely automated, and Burn's team not sinking hours into placing ads in Meta, they have more bandwidth. Their team now has the ability to:

  • Take on more clientele
  • Support clients with custom marketing projects, like social media guides or event marketing
  • Build and articulate reasoning behind each local marketing strategy, as digital media team members give account managers clearer, stronger insights to communicate to clients
  • Improve customer relationships, as account managers have more explainability and bandwidth to service clients

Room to grow without growing the team. That structural shift held up at scale, too. Burn Media Co. took onboarding from an initial 30 locations to a full 200-location campaign rollout without adding a single new hire.

That structural shift held up under real pressure during one particular promotional campaign. Start Strong Week is Burn Boot Camp's periodic promotional event offering new members a free full week with unlimited camps. Getting local ads live across every location is critical to driving turnout for the event.

National launches like this used to drag out over weeks, stretching the team thin. This time was different.

"That excitement from my digital media team after we launched Start Strong—once every location was live in Flamel—was something else," said Byrd. "Our Teams channel was blowing up because everyone was so excited. National launches are usually so exhausting because they take forever, and this one just wasn't."

A Symbiotic Partnership That’s Built to Scale

For Mere and her team, the results only tell half the story. What sets the relationship apart is Flamel's responsiveness. When Burn Media Co. needs something new, Flamel engineering builds it fast, treating the agency's roadmap like their own.

That partnership is already shaping what comes next. Burn Media Co. plans to expand into Google Ads through Flamel, and is exploring an organic social expansion for 2027.

But the clearest signal of where things are headed is this. When Burn launches its next franchise concept, they want Flamel built into the franchise marketing process from day one.
